Lore of Ancestors is a resource dedicated to portraying cultural awareness through mythology, creation stories, and values. Our team researches content thoroughly to understand particular world views, in order to provide accurate, relevant information.

This website is a passion project to educate readers about significant figures in world mythology. Currently, all the images on the site are AI-generated. However, we are working to find an artist to replace these images as our content continues to expand.

My Story

My story began during a trip to visit relatives in Finland in July of 2024. During this trip, I was able to embrace the cultural differences and the Finns’ respect for nature. Although I was familiar with the Kalevala, visiting Finland prompted me to study the stories in greater detail.

I realized there weren’t great resources online for others to explore Finnish folklore. This realization drove me to start this website. In addition to Kalevala, we are working to bring the stories of other cultures to life in an easy-to-navigate resource.

Ancestral Roots

My father was always passionate about genealogy, as far back as I could remember. As a child, I often spent weekends at the Census Bureau libraries, where my father combed through microfiche, newspapers, and other records to trace our ancestry. As I learned about my family history, I became enthralled by the prospect of discovering more about our countries of origin.

In my younger years, I found Greek mythology fascinating. My next fascination came from Celtic folklore. I then began to explore Cherokee origin stories. These stories sparked my interest in learning about other cultures around the world.
